Advanced Coaching Certification Program (ACCP)

The Advanced Coaching Certification Program (ACCP) is for coaches who wish to enhance their coaching abilities through a credible program accredited by the ICF that meets the demands of a life or business coach.  Students explore the many ways that coaching can be used and will have a chance to discover their niche so that they may market themselves in a way that is authentic to their true interests. This course is taught in both Thai and English.

This program is ideal for any coaches seeking to broaden their impact and expand their skills through a holistic approach to learning. Through this course students will gain proficiency to meet any demands in any situation in moving their clients forward while addressing issues that may be keeping them back from being the best coach possible. Through this course students will also have the chance to work towards their credential from the ICF as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC).

Program Overview

Course 1 – Professional Coaching Certification Program (60 hours hours)

The coaching journey begins with the 60 hour ‘Professional Coaching Certification Program’.  In this initial course students gain the basic structure for their coaching skills and knowledge. Experienced instructors and supervisors guide participants through the process of understanding the core elements and skills of being a professional coach.

Course 2 - Advanced Coaching Core Curriculum (35 Hours total - 10 hours Advanced Instruction + 10 hours Mentoring + 6 hours Supervised Coaching Lab + 9 hours Monitored Self-Study)

The coaching learning journey continues with the Advanced Coaching Core Curriculum.  In this course you gain deeper appreciation of what it means to coach at a professional level.  You expand your coaching abilities to be able to reach your coachee at a deeper level, gaining commitment and conviction through an exploration of WHO the coacher is and what it means for them to reach those levels of self-exploration.  This course prepares participants to meet the expectations required to attain the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) level.  Beyond the course content and hours participants will also receive their required group and individual mentoring from our teaching staff, and direct supervision of observed coaching sessions throughout the course to ensure that progress is noted and challenges are refined through advanced coaching skills and techniques.

Course 3 - Executive and Leadership Coaching (10 hours)

The Executive and Leadership Coaching Course prepares the participants for working with leaders and executives. A framework for executive coaching is introduced so that participants have a clear idea on how to proceed with this niche of coachee. As well, this course covers the importance of emotional intelligence and leadership, developing and aligning personal and organizational values, strategies towards becoming a more holistic leader, discovering one’s strengths and exploring how to leverage them in work and life, and as well how to Create 360 degree feedback pre and post coaching engagement for deeper analysis of the leader and their organization.

Course 4 - Team and Group Coaching (10 hours)

The Team and Group Coaching Program extends the fundamental principles and knowledge of coaching into the context of coaching teams and groups. It emphasizes the development of core knowledge, skills, and competencies related to team coaching and distinguishes from other forms of help such as group facilitation or team building. The workshop also presents a clear model for group and team coaching which will enable the participants to more effectively and competently coach working groups and teams in organizations. The course requires significant participation both individually and within supervised team and group assignment activities.

Course 5 - Coaching Toolkit (10 hours)

Learning Goals for this Program

  • To provide a firm foundation for all participants in their coaching practice.
  • To further enhance and deepen the coaching skills of all participants.
  • To explore the ICF Ethics, Standards of Conduct, and Core competencies throughout the entire program, to ensure reflection on and development of the necessary skills needed to reach the level of PCC coach with the ICF.
  • To ensure that the participants are familiar with and practice advanced PCC coaching level techniques.
  • To expand various tools and techniques to work with a wide variety of coaching contexts.
  • To provide quality group and individual mentoring to all participants.
  • To provide high quality supervision and feedback to all participants through observed sessions of real coaching practice.

Coaching philosophy/model/approach

Our coaching models and approach are based off the International Coach Federation’s Standards of Conduct and Core Coaching Competencies.  At the Thailand Coaching Institute we believe that transformation and awareness come from having a clear direction in one’s growth, built from an understanding and reflection on one’s values, which is continuously developed through motivation and deeper communication of who we are and what we really want in our lives.  While our expectation is that a coach can help the client get the results they are seeking, the process is a journey, both externally as well as internally.
